“I love that we can source almost anything for anyone!”
So Sara, why are you an interior designer? To be perfectly honest, I live and breathe anything to do with interior design, so it just wouldn’t make sense for me to do anything else! It’s something that is constantly evolving and if you don’t stay right at the heart of it, you can spend an awful lot of time playing catch-up. That constant momentum and energy within the trends and designs is what keeps me enthralled.
Why do people invest so much time and effort into their interiors?
Interior design used to be a very elite concept, only for the upper classes and the very wealthy. That’s no longer the case because people have become more and more educated and aware of designers and styles, and of what’s available to them. No matter what the budget there’s something for everyone, so now anyone can really take ownership of their own taste and reflect it in their home.
And what does interior design mean to Clement Joscelyne?
Well for starters we can pretty much source anything! Our long history and the amazing knowledge our staff have, means there are very few restrictions on what we can obtain for our customers and their homes. We even have our own curtain workroom where we make the most beautiful hand sewn curtains and blinds. I love that we can source almost anything for anyone, and make almost anything for anyone. It’s great!
Is that why you’d recommend Clement Joscelyne for interior design?
That bespoke element of the business does mean we can raise the bar in terms of service, but another crucial element is time. We take the time to get to know our clients. Our service is about building relationships and earning trust. That way your designer will instinctively know what you want and you can trust them to make it work.
We also invest a lot of our own time in keeping our finger right on the pulse of interior design – to the point that we’ve been known to supply our clients with prototype products which haven’t even been put into production yet! Up to date knowledge is vital to what we do … we like to think of ourselves as walking interior design encyclopaedias!
